A thoughtful sentiment from Irish poet and theologian, Padraig O Tuama which immediately got me thinking, what are the stones on which we stumble relating to our movement life? They are the moves we hate!
“Salle, why can’t I just practice the stuff I already excel at, over and over? So fun!”
Because, dear ones, we must grow, evolve and solve the compensatory patterns and habits we’ve settled into. Our bad habits won’t become more helpful as we age, they will bite us again and again until we resolve them. A workout can’t just make us sweaty and sore (although those things aren’t bad), they have to move us forward!
Ask yourself, which exercises do i absolutely dread and then make altars to them, for they are your greatest teachers.
