Good morning all. Two years ago today, I signed the lease at the Box Factory for the Arts, embarking on a goal I only dreamt of achieving because I thought I lacked the business chops to own my own business. Aha! But March 8 is also International Women’s Day, which I see as a day to celebrate community, support and empowerment: I did not plan to sign on IWD, but now it feels so prescient because The Aware Lab is also about community, support and empowerment for men and for women, no matter their age or ability.
The Oxford English Dictionary defines empowerment as the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights. Our work at The Aware Lab is a collaboration, where I hand over the tools and info you need to feel your best at any given moment…really, I’m just reminding you of the power you have had all along to fully be in your body, aligned and strong.
